The next Expo is February 27, 2011! Held at the Schwartz Center in downtown Wilmington, NC (610 N. Front Street) there’s space for 70+ pet-related vendors and rescue groups. This is the largest indoor pet event in the area. Vendors come from all over to promote new and different, and old reliable pet items and services to citizens of Wilmington and surrounding counties. Pet lovers flock to the expo to learn about pet care and perhaps pick up something for their beloved animal companion.
In addition to pet-related booths, the expo features a kiddie corner, silent auction, a gourmet food vendor and lots and lots of pet care information. In fact, starting with the 2009 show, we’re offering free booth space to rescue organization of all species to help get the word out about their efforts. Between browsing the booths, perusing the silent auction goodies, eating some wonderful food and learning about animal care you’ll think 11 a.m.-4 p.m. isn’t enough time to get it all done! Unfortunately, the Schwartz Center doesn’t allow dogs in the facility, but participating rescue groups display pictures of adoptable companion animals and happily share information about the adoptee, general animal care and their group’s activities. If you’re a pet lover, don’t miss this exciting, pet-focused exposition! Or are you one of the pet-related business owners tapping into that exploding pet marketplace? Either way, Monty’s Home Pet Expo gives buyers and sellers the chance to meet, indoors, each year. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon in February? 
As a rescue group, committed to pet care education – regardless the species – we are proud to offer an event of this magnitude to businesses, rescue organizations and the pet-loving public. Begun in 2008, expo proceeds support Monty’s Home education, grief support and rescue programs.
